• Vegan-friendly Asian Fusion Tacos!

Not since Vegan Nom have I been excited about tacos, until... NOW. Thank you Far East Taco Grille! Most of the DC area's food offerings for vegan tacos are bland and boring: beans, rice, lettuce, guac and sauce. Boring. I can do that at home. This joint delivers. In an area just south of the popular H Street Corridor, it's kind of a desert for food options for veg*ns. Well, don't worry, just come to Far East Taco Grille. The sauces and styles are super vegan friendly, as they are what they sound like: veggies with dressing up Asian style. Throw it in a bowl, either a fried flour tortilla or rice bowl, or maybe have a burrito, or, my favorite, 3 tacos for $8. WOW. Bargain. Be careful of the lime crema, which is not vegan, so declare your position: no lime crema. Also, tell them no cheese, sour cream, or sauces with dairy (spicy mayo) just in case. The food choices are incredible for the Far East, Kimchi-Lime and Banh Mi Craze. So much flavor, and NO dairy. Add it all into your delivery choice with the vegan "hot sexy tofu," and you will be so happy you did. Some sides like salsa, chips and guacamole can be helpful, but you don't need sides. The tacos, burritos and bowls deliver up heartily. They have many sauces to try, so go crazy! This place is very popular, so you may wish to call ahead for your order. They make the food fresh. So fresh! There is also only a counter with 4 metal stools for your dining. It is probably good if it's not busy, but, it is almost always busy. The prices and flavors are too good to not be busy! If it were all vegan, it would get 5 cows, but it's not. Still, BEST vegan tacos in the District for amazing flavor that doesn't leave vegans wishing for more.
