  • Nice soup base with good variety

The buffet is about roughly about NT500 per person which I thought is good value. What I like is that you can choose up to 3 soup bases (whereas most restaurant allows at most 2). The tomato base was good -- made from lots of chopped tomatoes. My family like the herbal soup most. The third was a Thai soup base - which I thought would be the Thai tom yam soup but it was nothing like that. If you are familiar with authentic Thai tom yam soup, this will be a disappointment. There is a good variety of ingredients though nothing very special. The usual fresh vegetables and fake meat. I thought the selection of fake meat was rather disappointing. One thing special was there was coral jelly (aka "sea bird nest") -- but don't cook too long, it dissolves into the soup and thickens it. There are also some cooked dishes which are not bad. I like the fresh fruits -- passion fruits and pineapple that was very sweet. There is also a good selection of Meiji ice cream. There is supposed to be a 100 min limit. But we were there on a late Saturday afternoon and it was not crowded. They let us take our time.
