  • Grungy and Grotty

I'm disappointed to say that Gugar was not great. The tables were grotty (as were the walls, floor, etc) and almost everyone who was there were all smoking outside. It's more of a bar than a restaurant. The chairs were higher than the tables, too, which made sitting down very awkward. As for the food I didn't enjoy it at all. I had the falafel wrap (boring, I know, but it was one of the only vegan options on the menu other than cakes and smoothies) and the falafels were flavourless and the worst thing was that they cooked the lettuce inside the wrap. WHO COOKS LETTUCE? It was weird and not tasty.
