It's a shame Urban Projuice is a little out of the way or we would happily have eaten here every day of our stay in Melbourne! Despite being really busy, all the staff were super friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in this bright little café was comfortable and welcoming. Food ranges from "lighter" breakfast options like smoothies, bowls, and granola, to heartier sweet breakfasts like pancakes with coconut ice cream, to savoury brunch options like scrambles, a tempeh burger, fritters, and salads. They also have smaller bites or takeaway options like muffins, raw treats, pies and sausages rolls, and wraps and enchiladas. We tried the Arnold Schwarzanana smoothie (delicious and thick), tofu scramble (huge but a bit heavy on the spinach), buckwheat pancakes (gigantic stack of thick pancakes piled with fresh fruit and swimming in maple syrup, delicious but maybe a bit sweet), tempeh burger (incredible, thick juicy umami-filled tempeh patty, piles of spiralised carrot and perfectly cooked kale, just the right amount of creamy satay sauce, on a fluffy lightly toasted Turkish bun) and house granola (perfect blend of chewy and crunchy, not too sweet, served with juicy berry compote and a smear of coconut yoghurt, along with a side of non-dairy milk). We loved everything, portions were huge - and they didn't skimp on the "fancy" ingredients - and beautifully plated. Although it looks on the pricy side, we found we were too full to eat until dinner so we got our value for money! Only disappointment is not having been able to eat there more often!
