  • Laid - back hang-out

This place has a very laid - back, hippy-ish vibe that reminded me a lot of vegetarian places in Edinburgh in the 1990s. It's full of mismatched tables and chairs, piles of books and the smell of incense in the air. It's up the stairs in a corner of Teatro Square. You give your order direct to the chef at the bar, where there is an open kitchen area.I was on my own, looking for a light evening meal after a big lunch. I chose the pizza and let the chef have free rein on toppings, as there's nothing veggie I dislike/can't eat. Tap water with fruit was provide free of charge. The pizza, when it came, was loaded with red pepper, olives and mozzarella. It was nice, but a bit too big for one. Prices were very reasonable indeed. It's been such a pleasant surprise to find how Lithuania has embraced vegetarianism, even in a relatively small town like Klaipėda.
