  • Vegan lunch buffet and decadent dessert

We went for lunch and were seated in the room on the left and offered the a la carte menu. There was also a vegan all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for 9.80 euros in the room on the right. We opted for the buffet and were glad we did. It wasn’t a huge selection, but we felt it was a good value nonetheless. It included a tasty lentil and bean soup and a warm dish of sautéed greens. The other dishes were room temperature and included couscous with vegetables, farro with tofu and vegetables, more sautéed greens, farro loaf, and green beans. There were a number of condiments, too. Be careful, as the only non-vegan item was Parmesan cheese. I didn’t hear the waitress tell my boyfriend about it and put some on my food, thinking it was vegan Parmesan. The restaurant overlooks the piazza and the air conditioning was very welcome on the day we went. Several vegan, and some raw, desserts were on the menu. We had a single, good-sized vegan cheesecake topped with berries and berry sauce. It was incredibly rich and yummy but a bit pricey at 6 euros.
