• Absolutely amazing vegan deli with homemade food

If you go to one vegan place in Florence, let it be Giumella! Such a cozy, heart-warming, and delicious spot. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. The owner is incredibly sweet and took the time to patiently explain all the dishes to us as we don't speak Italian. The dishes change each day as they are made fresh, but everything we had was fantastic, including the baked goods (we had biscotti and a savory muffin). You pay by weight, and for a full plate it was around 9 euros. Baked goods were 1-3 each. You can also call ahead and order a lunch box for a cheaper fixed price. Many locals were clearly coming in to get their food to go but if you dine there, the owner may give you a glass of wine on the house! Can't stress how good this place is - great food and great vibes!
