  • healthy veggie hawker stall

my mum introduced me to this supposedly healthy vegetarian stall above bishan bus interchange: natural and organic; low salt, low sugar, low fat, high fibre; no msg, colouring and preservative; no trans fat; no gmo. i thought she was exaggerating, but on first glance through the stall display window it already did look like clean, "hospital" food. no mock meats are used, mainly veges and tofu. we took away economical rice and fruit rojak. depending on your preference, it can be on the bland side, which was okay for me, as i don't like too salty stuff. even though no coconut milk was used, the curry veg was flavourful and spicy enough. the rojak was also not bad (miso is used). i didn't get to try the thunder tea rice but my mum said that there are better options elsewhere. the stall seems to be associated with zenxin organic farm in johor baru and there are brochures promoting tours there: http://www.zenxin.com.my
