  • Veg-friendly dumpling place at Pudong airport

When traveling, it is always a challenge to find suitable restaurants at airports that provide safe vegan and vegetarian options. Luckily, in Shanghai Pudong airport (Terminal 2) there is exactly such a place. While - like most restaurants in China - catering mainly to omnivores, Tian Xia dumpling is special in that they actually have a vegan lunch set, consisting of a set of chive dumplings and a plate or broiled vegetables. That is even the cheapest lunch set they offer at around 50 RMB. They even have home-made soymilk (sweet but very nice) to go with it. I really enjoyed both the dumplings and the vegetable, and the meal was filling. What more can you ask for? Possibly how to find it. Not too difficult. It is after the security control in the area of gates 60-80, on the second floor where you also find Burger King and Segafredo. Simply follow the signs to these. Other places in this area that offer complementary vegan items are segafredo (espresso, unfortunately no soymilk) and Chatime (bubble tea).
