• Why can't everywhere be this good..

When my partner and I went to Berlin for a few days we stayed near the main railway station. First job when we got there was to pull up HappyCow and check for walkable places to eat. Valladares became our place of choice. About 20 minutes from the main station this great café and shop is situated in one of the more residential areas. The staff were very friendly. Their English was much better than our German which helped. They were happy to answer any questions and importantly they served breakfast tea (I can't function without my morning cuppa). Over the space of a week we went back here most days. The menu is excellent. Especially the burgers which I would heartily recommend. The shop is full of goodies and we took the opportunity to stock up on the vegan choc. and fake parmesan. If you find yourself anywhere near the main station then you'd be mad to miss this place.
