- Awesome restaurant
There aren't too many places in Japan that are so accommodating to veggos or vegans however Yakeppachi is an exception. The super friendly and helpful staff knew exactly what we wanted when we requested vegetarian and repeated "no meat, no egg and no fish" back to us which was comforting. So may other restaurants seem to think fish is ok for veggos. The experience was enhanced by being able to watch the chef prepare our meal which was delicious and just as we ordered. It was pouring rain when we left and the staff ensured we had a decent umbrella, even offering us two of their own. A very warm and friendly establishment with an authentic feel. Highly recommended this reassuring of staying in Hiroshima and only a short stroll from a train station.
