• Expensive Fruit Stand!

I stopped here yesterday to see what all the hype was about and was very disappointed. I know it's a "must go to" spot for the tourist but I don't plan on ever returning. All the fruit is very very over priced (especially for being in homestead where a lot of fruit is grown). I bought four passion fruit and it cost me 13.75!!! I later went to another fruit stand further south and saw passion fruit there for only 3$ a pound rather then the 9$ that "Robert is here" was asking for. Next I got the passion fruit smoothie. When you buy a smoothie there you have to add sugar,Splenda, or honey (I wasn't impressed with this either.) I asked for no sweetener and then proceeded to be asked by the man which one I wanted because I HAD to have one. Overall though the smoothie was good but cost 6.50$ Finally I saw the animals in the back. As a vegan who's agonist keeping wild animals in cages the disgusted me. The cages were smelly and dirty and it made me sad for the animals there. Not paying my money again to support this. The only reason my review got 3 stars is because my smoothie was decent and my passion fruit were good. But if you are thinking of going here I recommend not buying produce. The staff also wasn't very helpful.
