- Fat Yau Yuen (Cheung Sha Wan), Hong Kong
1stly this establishment has no relationship with the similarly sounding place in the HK suburb of Aberdeen. I spun into this place earlier today for some snack food and some take away. The lady working there was very nice indeed. At time of writing there doesn't appear to be any English spoken nor an English language menu. Courtesy of my native companion my linguistic short comings were easily bypassed. I am able to report that no dairy milk is used. Also no eggs are used except in one specific egg dish that some customers ask for. The mock meats are home made using things like mushrooms. I had some wantons with cooked Chinese leaves, this thing that was like a veggie burger and a pancake roll of some sort. All were delicious. Very inexpensive. If you're nearby and looking for some cheap eats this place is worth a go.
