• Triple choice: Yoga classes, vegan cafe and shop.

Cosy Cafe is located inside the famous Teramachi shopping arcade, a few hundred meters from the Honno-ji temple that marks the Northern entrance of the shopping arcade. The Cosy Cafe is on the second floor (ground floor + 1) and is part of Tamisa, a yoga school. You enter a wide open space that is filled with Vegan items to buy, ranging from pasta to cosmetics etc. A yoga class was being held at a room next door to the cafe. They have set menus, with 2 or 3 different choices for around 1.000 Yen. I took the vegetable quiche menu that came with a side dish of salad and a nice potato soup. As a drink I ordered the smoothie of the day, which was banana-based and delicious. You have two sitting areas, one close to the counter where you place your order with high tables and chairs, and an other area on the opposite with sunken tables, which makes it difficult for stiff non-Japanese people like me to get inside. The food took a few minutes to arrive but it was quite good, especially the potato soup. At the end of the meal, I ordered another shake and a raw vegan mango cake. Worth a visit.
