- Japanese / European fusion cuisine
In the suburbs like Kreuzberg or Prenzlauer Berg it is quite easy to find high quality vegan food in Berlin, but closer to the city centre this becomes more difficult. Coco Genki is a great option for vegans right next to the touristy area where the boar trips start. They offer some japanese dishes like Bento Boxes and Onigiri but also western or fusion dishes like spaghetti with walnut and miso or a portobello burger. Staff is very friendly and the presentation fo the food is great - everything looks lovely and tastes great as well. They also have a grat selection of vegan desserts and their drinks options include several smoothies as well as real matcha tea (not exclusively one of those matcha lattes which tastes only like sugar but the plain and great matcha drink from a wooden bowl). Given the quality and their central location, everything is very inexpensive.
