  • Best vegan breakfast spot in S.M.A.

San Miguel was a little challenging for vegans, so this place was an oasis. We ended up having breakfast there 4 days in a row -- they will serve some things off their lunch menu if you ask, so check that out as well. We particularly liked the "meatball" sandwich, which is lentil-based. Many of the dishes incorporate flavored teas as an ingredient. There seems to be a little confusion with staff between gluten-free and vegan, so do ask if something seems like it should be vegan but isn't labeled so. It's all garden seating, so if you're are there during the rainy season you may have to get stuff to go. Staff spoke English well enough to make everything easy.
