  • Outstanding Indian food in Dublin

This restaurant is vegetarian but all items on the menu are marked with symbols letting you know which can be prepared vegan (about 50% of the menu). We were trying to avoid deep fried items which limited our selection somewhat, but there were still many more vegan options than we could try. We ordered the hara bhara bhel, a really interesting and creative salad with cucumber, tomato, sprouts, and crispy wafers that was refreshing, hearty, and delicious. The usal pav green pea curry was also very tasty and fresh, not at all greasy or heavy like some curries can be. The tadka dhal was among the best dhal we've had--very well spiced and complex flavors that blended perfectly. The menu is extensive and can be a little overwhelming. We let them know it was our first time there and they sent out a waiter who was able to make recomendations for us (we had some mild difficulty communicating with our first waiter). The space is very pleasant--this is not a fast food joint--but the prices were very reasonable. 95% of the clientel were South Asian so we took that as a good sign! We look forward to returning very soon!
