  • Japanese Loco Moco

I live in Hawaii and loco moco is a cheap, delicious dish, just like okonomiyaki. The concept is the same, with a giant slab of your choice of meat and egg on top, but instead of soba or udon, loco moco has rice lol. But I, as a vegan, got the option 'G' on the vegetarian menu, as it has no animal products and everything you can get without animal products. The vegetable sauce is also very good. Unfortunately, there is a line that you have to endure through, but it is definitely worth the wait. My family went at around 12:45 and there wasn't much of a line, but at around 1:15 the line went around the corner of the restaurant. I haven't eaten okonomiyaki before, but the vegan one I ate was delicious. The restaurant is conveniently placed just outside of the Hiroshima statues and such. Overall, one should come here to experience the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki on a vegan diet. Would totally come again. Updated from previous review on 2017-03-29
