• Very Good Vegetarian and Vegan option

I tried Sweet Tomatoes - Carrollwood in Tampa after checking to see if they had a good inspection from the Florida Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation. I always check this first before going to a Florida restaurant, since the health inspection is not posted in the restaurant for the public in Florida. Sweet Tomatoes offers a long salad bar that has options for everyone, then you pay. You can then take your tray to the bakery area, the soup area, the fruit area, a pasta area and a dessert area. I was pleased with the fact that they put small signs in front of each item to let you know if it is vegetarian, vegan or contains meat products. I found plenty to try and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. The drink selection includes lemonade and strawberry lemonade, which tasted fresh. If you prefer to drink only water, the price will be lower. I signed up for Sweet Tomatoes e-mails, and received a coupon that allowed two adults to eat for around $22 with drinks. The lunch coupon was for $7.99 without drink or $9.29 with drink. This company is based out of California, and I think any vegetarian or vegan will be pleasantly surprised at how many options they can find on the buffet. The only complaint I have seen about this restaurant in social media was from a meat eater who complained they could not find enough meat! It's nice to visit a restaurant that has clearly considered the veg customer.
