  • Supernice owner and tasty dessert

Our first dinner at the Algarve took us to this place, which is not that cozy on the first sight, but then you will recognise that somebody decorated it with a loving hand. The vegetarian owner knew immediately what "vegan" is and she told us about the meals. We chose the vegan options from the buffet, which contains also one meat and one fish dish. You can either have the all-you-can-eat-option for 7€ or one soup, one big plate from the buffet, one drink and one dessert for 8€. The buffet changes every day, which also means that there is a varying number of vegan options. We had seitan with rice and vegetables, salad, vegetable soup and a chilli with noodles. Unfortunately, some of the food was quite overcooked, probably because it was on the buffet in pots to keep it warm. We liked that the dishes are vegan/vegetarian versions of traditional Portuguese meals! The dessert (green-tea-jelly and mango-mousse) were great and the chocolate-nuts-cake awesome! The owner was really nice and told us about all her food-creations. All in one it was a pleasure to be at this nice place.
