- A higher taste
After a long wait The Hare Krishna movement in Helsinki has again opened at a new location in Malmi. Their cooking has always been very special and full of a "higher" taste. It is based on Indian tradition, ayurveda and devotion. They use milk but no eggs or other animal based products. Also, they refrain from any mind altering substances, so you won't get coffee or black tea there, not to mention alcohol. Even onions, mushroom, cocoa and some other ingrediants are avoided due to this. After opening their restaurant for public Summer 2014 there were closed again for a couple of weeks due to lack of staff, but next week they will be up and running again at least Wednesdays and Saturdays. I recommend visiting and tasting their cooking, regardless of religious orientation.
