- Yeah - Shasta is now somewhat Vegan friendly.
Ate here with my Sweets Relatives - who are carnivores, and they even said they would come back without us! Menu is about 1/3 or more Vegan and labelled really well. I had the Avocado Mango salad which was so tasty. Both the avo & the mango were just right ripe - both of which i've had be over or under ripe many times at other places - so that was a great way to start the meal. Followed up with a half & half entree. I don't know if this is normal, but rather than get the Channa Massala (Garbonzo)entree, or the Baigan Bhartan Eggplant) entree, I asked our helper if she could do half of each - she didn't even flinch - No Problem! Very kind and accommodating. Food was excellent. Perfect portion size, rice was super fresh and moist and fluffy with no clumps. All in all a really good experience with some great food in a nice venue with great views. For the quality, vibe and experience - this place is underpriced.
