- Good vegan options and atmosphere
Went here to check out their vegan options and was not disappointed. They do delicious vegan pizzas with nut cheese, some great vegan desserts, tasty drinks including virgin mary with kale and at least one vegan wine that we know of. They are reasonably clued up on what's vegan, though not 100%. They don't label the sorbet as vegan but they sell it in tubs so I had a read and it looked completely vegan to me. The lighting and atmosphere are really good, and the staff were lovely, making it a good place for an evening out that feels a bit special. We sat out the front where they have tables in the open air but away from the main road (it's set back) and they've got potted plants and a bougainvillaea climbing up a trellis if I remember rightly. Definitely a good addition to the evening dining options in Bris. You can go there just for dessert after they stop doing main meals from 9pm too. Really nice presentation too - sorry I don't have photos, but there's a great review on Viva la Vegan with pics http://www.vivalavegan.net/community/updates/922-vegan-dinner-at-freestyle-tout-emporium-fortitude-valley.html - as this notes, the paper parcel is apparently wrapped in, er, actual paper, so that would be one to avoid, or check if they've started using vegan filo pastry instead!
