  • A great, friendly, hip vegan eatery

Close to the Buttes Chaumont park, Hobbes is a great addition to Paris' growing selection of vegan and veggie eateries. Fresh, daily-changing menu featuring mainly vegan dishes the day I went. About 5 starters, mains and desserts each day. I had a stuffed squash to start, chick pea stew for my main. My friends had a quinoa & sweet potato hot starter, another had the falafel starter, and we ordered a vegan burger for one of the mains. The burger has optional gluten free bread and homemade potato chips. Everything was fresh and tasty, attractively served and reasonably priced. Nice selection of freshly made juices as well as beers, wine, lemonade, teas etc. For lunch, they offer a fixed price meal deal (dish of the day plus juice, dish of the day plus dessert and juice, etc) Extra points for friendly staff and lovely decor. Close to metro Pyrenées (line 11)
