  • fill a pita

my mum and i shared a set for two: soup, lentil salad, hummus, tabbouleh, fava bean salad, pita. it initially came with rice, but when we expressed doubt that we could down so many carbs, the friendly female staff member substituted the rice with soup. we finished everything but had to pack some pita home. it was a pity falafels weren't back on the menu yet when we visited. our meal was served with disposable utensils (soup container, and i'm not sure if the plastic platter can/will be washed and reused) and cutlery. i notice from an earlier photo uploaded on 7 june 2016 that a proper soup bowl was used though. their facebook page gives a detailed and frank description about food preparation. all dishes are egg-free, and vegans will know to avoid those containing halloumi or other cheese, and yoghurt. if you have the luxury of time, it's best to go outside 12 to 2 pm on weekdays to avoid the lunch crowd. 3.5 stars if happy cow had half-star ratings.
