  • Nice little place

I was in New Orleans for a conference at the conference center. From checking menus at nearby places I found that New Orleans isn't particularly vegetarian friendly. I was excited to find a place that had cajun inspired vegan cuisine just a block from my hotel. First impressions was that I loved the decorations in the place. There was cool, bright artwork of animals all over that I enjoyed looking at as I was dining alone. I ordered the eggplant po'boy. The taste of the sandwich was very good but I was a little disappointed there was not more on it. There were two fairly thin slices of eggplant but they tasted really good, as did the rest of the toppings. I saw other people who ordered the tofu po'boy and I would probably try that if I went back, although I was also tempted to try the barbecued seitan sandwich. I also ordered beignets and I was not impressed and they were kind of expensive, so I wouldn't do that again. Overall I really liked the place and will absolutely want to go back if I am in New Orleans again.
