  • Great Vegan Food!

This medieval themed place does take some getting used to, with wild boars hanging on the walls and the dim lights. But then again this is really authentic for a place like this. They do serve meat but it doesn't smell too bad, so I would consider that bearable. The menu has 4 completely vegan dishes plus some smaller items like soup or salad which are also vegan. All vegan options are marked with a little flower, so you don't have to depend on whether the waiter knows the ingredients. In my experience they do, though and answer any questions very politely. My wife and I tried two of the main dishes plus some bread with vegan onion mett as a starter. Contrary to many other places with vegan options this one doesn't serve any fast food, but freshly cooked meals of a very high quality. This may include some convenience products like mock meats, but they come with home made sauces, fresh vegetables and good side dishes. Other than that they have awesome regional beer, that you should really try!
