- Quirky restaurant with great veggie burgers
The Jade Seahorse is a quirky restaurant, lodge, and bar a little uphill from the Utila's main street. It is a vegetarian restaurant with some vegan options and several more that are veganizable (it's a pretty small menu). Employees will be able to tell you which are vegan and were very accommodating. They specialize in veggie burgers and they do not disappoint. There were several options - our favorites were the chipotle avocado and tomato pesto burgers. The house made mate tea was also delicious - and even better with a shot of rum :) Allow some time to stay for a drink and check out their mosaic garden. This is a must experience restaurant for veggies/vegans staying in Utila!
