- A special treat
While Yasaiyamei isn't a cheap meal option, it is a great treat if in the Roppongi area. The restaurant is beautiful and there aren't a lot of vegetarian options to try Shabu shabu. The broth was amazingly delicate and developed flavour throughout the cooking process at the table, and the ample fresh vegetables were just lovely and fresh and so beautifully prepared. I was seated where I could see the kitchen assembling the vegetables and it was done with such care. If you want to treat yourself to a Shabu shabu experience then this is a good option.
