  • Delicious Italian-inspired vegetarian

For some reason the website won't let me give this place 5 stars, which is unfair because that is what it deserves! Traveling vegetarian in Central America can mean a LOT of rice and beans, so I was so pleasantly surprised to come across this hidden gem. It's the best vegetarian restaurant I have come across outside of the US and could hold its own inside too. Creative, delicious food inspired by the decades the American painter owner lived in Italy, including cannelloni stiffed with squash and a panzanella (bread and tomato salad - trust me!) that was just to die for. Inventive, delicious, and a bargain to boot. A week later, I can say it is safe to eat the raw stuff too, because Granada's tap water is clean, unlike most of Central America. Great find.
