  • Delicious Vegan Food In Santander!

I was extremely happy to find this traditional Spanish tapas bar located just outside of the city. Serving Spanish food as well as having an extensive vegan restaurant-style menu upstairs with good and varied options. The service was friendly and fast and the restaurant area, located upstairs is bright and clean. I ate the vegan burger, which was amazing. It was homemade, with oats, tofu and mushrooms, in warm bread with lots of salad and a sprinkling of vegan cheese. Just perfect, not too mention the very generous portion of home made Fried potatoes. The friend I was with (who's not vegan) had the menu del dia which he was very impressed with. It was two courses which were easily both the size of a main course. For desert we had vegan chocolate mousse with fresh fruit. On paying our bill, we were told that a portion of their profits would go to homeless cats and dogs in the city. Having seen so many stray cats and kittens whilst wondering the city we felt this was a truly great gesture. Any vegans / vegetarians visiting Santander who are put off by the slightly out of town location, don't be! I feel it's definitely worth the walk and I would certainly go again.
