- Such a special place
I'm a huge fan of trendy, $11, Norwalk cold-pressed juices and the places that serve them. However, this is not one of those places. It's better. It is owned by the kindest Ethiopian man whose name I don't even know, although after going to Oasis consistently for almost a year, I feel that I know his spirit very well and he mine. He's so passionate about serving healthy, whole food, especially in an area where this is uncommon and to those who may be unfamiliar with it. The walls are decorated with ever-changing posters with inspirational quotes and facts about the healing powers of superfoods, and funky Ethiopian music is always playing. Try the Ethiopian lunch special! $8 for a huge platter of nourishing, vegetarian food! And feel free to make your own juice or smoothie creation -- the prices never change whether you keep it simple or decide to add chia or maca or whatever! Along with juices and smoothies, there are also hot drinks (ginger tea!), breakfast items, soups, a salad bar, and nut mixes for sale! Come here! Nourish yourself! Support a local business and a wonderful spirit!
