- Really Good Food, Really Great Atmosphere
I went here twice. The first time, it was for dessert - a Ian Mackaye crepe and a glass of white wine. It was delicious, sweet-but-not-too-sweet (the crepe) and still warm and there was good music inside and great lighting outside and a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly staff and great art and all the good stuff. The second time I visited I came back for dinner because on my dessert trip other people's plates looked really good. I tried the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez burger. The good: the flavor(s). It tasted great - it was a little spicy a little creamy, there were jalapeños and some spicy sour cream and a spicy aioli/mayo - all really good. The flavor of the black bean patty was also really good. The not-so-good: the texture of the patty and the density of the bun. Overall it was good and the burger got an A+ for flavor but the texture of both the patty and the bun left me a bit disappointed :(
