- Some love for New Holland Brewing
It's vegetarian friendly - not exactly vegan friendly. It's a student hangout often populated by the city's youth from nearby Hope College. It's hip and trendy and offers a sandwich called the "treehugger" which is described as a "vegetarian utopia." It was pretty good - same goes for the (perhaps too) generously season tabbouleh. Like the reviewer below mentions, it is a great place to people watch. There is a nice sidewalk terrace open during the warm months. Service is fair and very friendly. If you are hungry and in downtown Holland then this is the place to grab a bite. It's in the heart of the action, mere steps from JP's (a good cafe), Lemonjello's (another good, more youthful cafe) and many unique stores.
