- Why is not every Italian place like this?
Mare Nero is a great place: A whole double page of their menu is entirely vegan. Part of the dishes are the ones you could get at every other Italian place as well (like spaghetti napoli etc.) but they also have vegan pizza cheese, vegan salami, lasagna with soy mince and pasta with a creamy vegan sauce. Thinking about how easy it is to make Italian food vegan (because most of it is vegan already) I wondered why there are not more places like this. They did not put an insane effort into this, but made all the steps necessary to be outstandingly accommodating to vegans. (The owners are very nice and friendly in general as well!) A large vegan pizza costs between 5 and 7 EUR which I consider a bargain. I highly recommend this place!
