  • It was okay.

We ate here because it was close to where we were staying and inexpensive, but I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way to go here. It's the typical buffet-style place that you find around Russia, with lots of curries and salads and other random bits and pieces. All of the food is labelled in Russian and colour-coded, depending on whether it's vegetarian or vegan. This could have been really helpful for us as we couldn't read any Russian, but somewhere something must have gone terribly wrong with the way the labels were put out, for where there were 4 dishes in the buffet, there were 10 labels to go with them! This just made the whole idea of colour-coding the dishes useless, as we couldn't figure out which were the correct labels for the dishes in front of us. Luckily one of the staff members there spoke decent English and was able to help us out. The food itself was nothing special at all. It all looked great, but when we got it, it was cold. All of the curries, all of the pastries and other miscellaneous bits like sausages and samosas, all cold. This was really disappointing because the food did look and smell amazing. I'd rate this place higher if the food was warm. If you do find yourself here, maybe you could ask them to put your stuff in the microwave for you.
