• Bit confused about the raving reviews

Of course I was glad to eat at Hank's, and I do want to support any all-vegan place out there. But comparing the reviews to our experience made me think that we were at a different place. I visited Hank's Burgers on a Thursday in December. The burgers were... fine. Not heavenly. Not bad. Fine. The fries were both slightly overcooked (black tips) and slightly soggy. The 'salad of the day' was very uninspired, the brownie was excellent. All in all, reasonable food, not very cheap. The service was OK but we definitely overstayed our welcome, we were asked to leave shortly after we finished our meals (my companion spent some time checking her e-mail because her tablet didn't work with the hotel wifi, this was frowned upon). Which is their right, certainly: the place is small and it was quite full. But it all added to something quite a bit less than the five-star experience we expected based on the rave reviews.
