- very special place, a must!
i don't know where to start... first, if you know which road it's on, the place is very easy to find. it's next to the street but still a great location because from the wooden tables and benches, which are situated on a wooden platform with a roof but no walls (so you're basically sitting outside) you have a view over their garden. i don't know it it's always like this but when we visited they offered a all-you-can-eat buffet with around 6 overly delicious dishes, that, apart from 2, were not spicy at all, which we welcomed a lot! you can make everything spicy tough if you please. there were curries, soups, noodle, tofu and veggie dishes, steamed veggies and rice of course. they also offered fresh raw vegetables from their garden. all free to take (: the whole buffet costs you only... 80B!!!!! we were stunned! the place spreads a cozy atmosphere and in fact, we lingered there the whole day, eating, reading and sleeping as well. the woman who probably owns this place even told us that it'd be ok to do as we like, offering us more of their fresh veggies and food and also drinking water. speaking of her, she was the best thing about the whole place! it's rare to meet someone so sweet and lovely as her, i tell you! she's very bad at english but makes up for it with gestures, smiles and even hugs and gets so happy if you compliment her food it's impossible not to be happy as well (: on that day, they offered raw cakes as well and a few great juices with no added sugar. the whole food seems very healthy by the way. i'd say it's a must-visit for anyone. definitely my favourite now in chiang mai!
