- Not so great for vegans
Drove out to the commercial-industrial plaza in which the bakery sat during a day trip to the city. We were very curious. Turns out that there's not much for vegans to eat here. All of the bread, buns and turnovers contain honey. :-( We did snag some vegan Jamaican patties. A little spicy, meaty and wholesome tasting. Fantastic. We also got some seasonal gingerbread men made with kamut. They were also fantastic: chewy, sweet and very gingery. If only they would use a different sweetener in their baking. Oh well.
