  • Great for Vegetarians; Okay for Vegans

I ordered a vegan pizza at Pizza Brain and it was too big for one person and also ended up being fairly expensive. The base is $7 and then added toppings are additional money. I added a few toppings and the pizza ended up being $14, which in my opinion is too much money when you just want a slice of pizza for lunch. I understand they need to make the vegan pizzas separately so it's not like you can just buy a slice, but still, this isn't the best choice for one vegan. If you have two or more hungry people willing to eat vegan, if you are a person with a voracious appetite, or if you can easily take home leftovers, then it starts to become a better option. If you are a vegetarian, they seem to have some really great options by the slice. Overall, this is a fun place with really friendly people and my meat-eating friend loved his food. I would definitely go back, but I think especially if I were by myself I would go to Blackbird instead, where you can pick up a slice or two of delicious vegan pizza for a reasonable price, and afterwards you don't have to lug around tons of leftovers.
