- Awesome vegan spot in Verona
We went to Verona expecting to have very few food options but were so happy to find Universo as well as a few other great food spots. They offer a variety of all vegan sandwiches and wraps, as well as about 5 gluten-free options. There are mock meats and vegan cheeses and mayo, and everything is super tasty. There is also a dessert wrap with chocolate and almonds that is tasty. Everything is pressed on a hot grill and you can add sides of potatoes and some kind of croquettes. Everything we had was very good! Just note that they are open 10:30 - 2:30 for lunch and 7:30 - 10:30 for dinner. Closed mid-day!
