  • Best of show for vegetarian dining in Burlington

This place is super adorable with the European-style bench with potted flora and foliage outside to greet patrons and allow for waiting. Inside, there is an adorable farmhouse style square table with a vintage looking couch for waiting. There is also a bar with about a half dozen stools to have an aperitif, cocktail or beverage before you are seated. Why such adorable seating before the meal? Well, it's a small venue, hallway entry to the eating and dining area with just over a dozen tables. Reservations are recommended. They are not open on Sundays. Hours are limited. Ok, other than that.... the food choices are mouth-wateringly delicious. They have an eclectic blend of menu items that feature what you'd expect from a more upscale veg restaurant - sandwiches, burgers, Asian stir fry, tacos, Asian-inspired noodles and appetizers, dessert, alcohol and salads. However, the prices are a bit shocking for Burlington. Still, because of it's classier environment, veg*ns looking for a cute and quieter more upscale experience really only have this choice. Don't get me wrong, the food is worth the price tag. I just wish the hours were longer and the portion were larger.... but, who needs to be fattened up, really? If you want more calories, opt for dessert. Delicious house-made cakes with gluten-free vegan choices, and some veg*n choices with spelt flour. Chocolate cake, vanilla maple cake, peanut butter frosting, seasonal vegan fruit tarts with gluten-free crust. This place is delicious. I would go back in a heartbeat while visiting Burlington, and hope that they are open and able to seat me.
