- Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the greater DC area!
2016 update - After my original review, my husband and I returned to Great Sage for brunch many times. For months after he died in an accident last year, I didn't return. But then came my birthday on July 16, and I knew I wanted to do something special. Great Sage was so amazing about helping set that up for me! I brought a dozen friends, mostly omnivores, and everyone was impressed by all the dishes - with the Avocado Benedict being a particular favorite. Great Sage was also great about working with me to make my special birthday group lunch into a fundraiser for Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in memory of my husband. My original 2012 review - My husband and I heard about Great Sage some time back, but delayed going there because it is a fairly long drive from where we live in Arlington VA. However, once we made our first trip for Sunday brunch, we decided it was definitely worth making it a regular routine - especially for the monthly benefit events for different animal advocacy organizations. We've had quite a few dishes, and all are excellent. The service and decor are great too ... and we love that fact that it's part of Conscious Corner, with a great grocer, gift shop, and pet food place in the same mall!
