• Hidden gem!

What a relief to find this place through this site, and just around the corner from where I was staying at the sakura hotel. They do a lot of "mock" meats which really concerned me to begin with when I saw the mock bacon (which looked similar to quorn bacon in england but I thought surely not here in Tokyo??), but they assured me it was not meat and was actually seaweed based, which was backed up by my meat eating friends saying it didnt have the taste or texture of meat and turned out quite nice, they also made me a vege friendly vegetable bowl of soup, I ended up ordering more of the dumplings for my lunch the next day before I left! She has run the shop for 10 years now and has had lots of vege customers so understands our requirements, also asking me if I ate egg which helped convince me there would not be hidden meat or fish, worth dropping in!
