• Great vegan selection

I love all the local food and amazing vegan selection. Pete's downtown has a great cruelty-free beauty section including local products. I also appreciate the vegan specialty items such as vegan jello, protein bars and cool drinks. I haven't tried their coffee bar yet but they apparently have vegan baked goods there. They also have a smoothie bar which offers Vega and sushi which is probably my favourite vegan sushi I have ever had. The downside is that parking costs a fortune if you don't live within walking distance and also as a vegan, hate that you have to walk through so much meat and dairy to get to the vegan products. I go here a lot more frequently now cause the bus goes right there. They have one of the best selection for vegan meat products. They carry a lot of Gardein and Field Roast. They also have a lot of other cool vegan specialty items such as chipotle vegenaise, surf sweets, nakd bars, etc. One of the best cruelty-free departments in the HRM as well.
