We where lucky to have a Russian speaking friend with us, otherwise communication would be worse. About the food: the Cambodian cook made a wonderfull papaya salad and noodle soup (Cambodian dishes). But the pastas where tasteless, fat and rancid. No salt, no pepper,. Just pasta, cream, some mushrooms and something they called cheese. I asked at forehand if the juices where fresh but it was clearly watered and sugared. A conplaint led to a discussian, defending their choises (not to use salt after complaints of too salty food). A lot of local cooks hiref by foreign buisinesses cook very good Cambodian dishes but seem not to taste their own made non-Cambodian food. Pity.
