- Tasty, 'simple' food
We ate here on a lovely sunny evening and ordered the raw salad, asparagus with seitan schnitzel and the chipotle burger. Their menu changes with the seasons, spring menu was on since 3 weeks. The food was good. Dishes weren't super creative or original but definitely very tasty. I liked the seitan schnitzel a lot, firm and crispy as I hoped. Staff warned that the burger might be very spicy. It was just perfect for me, but I enjoy spicy food. The oven potatoes weren't made in oil but water. Still they were quite crispy and as tasty as when using oil. I don't mind the use of oil, but for those who do it's a nice plus. Staff was really friendly and attentive, waiting time between dishes was perfect (I'm commenting on this since other reviewers complained). I found the prices a little on the expensive side, but then again portions are quite big. I barely finished my plate and I eat a lot normally. The location is not really scenic or attractive, but the restaurant is not to blame for that obviously. It's a bit away from the centre as well, which could be a downside for some. Walking through the city to Veggies on Fire we spotted another vegan place and walking back I spotted a vegan supermarket. Could times finally be changing? ;)
