  • Not for vegans

If you are vegan, consider more adequate restaurants in Lisbon. The cook didn't know which plates had milk and which products had dairy (cheese, cream, etc.); it was the waiter that helped him... From that point on, the experience was fearful. When I nicely confronted the waiter that one of the plates had cheese and nobody told me, his apathetic reaction was to say "yeah" and never return to our table, sending another waiter from that point on. The food options were generally very caloric; if you don't want caloric options you are left with no protein value; even the tofu was dripping in fat. As an ovo vegetarian I was left with a few salads (those that didn't had cheese), the hot plates weren't vegan with the exception of the beans. Even the mayonnaise had dairy. We didn't want to see the garden we ate because we already had food on the plate when we realized that the options were very limited. The desserts were too expensive and once again vegans have two or three desserts (fruit, mostly), if you want to take the chance that the ice cream of the melon soup is vegan as they say... If you're a vegan alcoholic you're in the clear; there's a great variety of vegan wines! Fruit juices are 50% water based, if you're lucky. For an ovo lacteo vegetarian it's not such a bad restaurant, maybe. It was my fault: I had high expectations based on the high prices. In the middle of the parking chaos it's not worth the price. With so much options in Lisbon, I've been there, I've done that, I won't go there again.
