• Better than they were, but…

Cafe Kitsch has been through several changes of ownership over the years. They have moved to a nicer location and the menu is now 100% vegan and gluten-free. After not going there for years, I decided to give them another chance. Challenge number 1 is having only one person working. There were four tables occupied and the one person did a pretty good job, but we had to wait quite a long time for our drinks. I ordered the falafel sandwich, which was always my go-to item the first few years they were open. While it was okay, the falafel are very hard (a friend once described them as hockey pucks), and the gluten-free bread doesn’t hold together well. Yes, they are the only all vegan restaurant in Panajachel. But there are a lot of better vegan options elsewhere. Updated from previous review on 2020 Feb 21 Updated from previous review on 2020-02-22
