This place does have good vegan options for when you're craving something either light or hearty. They serve fresh fruit juices, specialty coffees, pastries, breakfast and lunch/dinner plates. The restaurant is across the street from a gas station and a used car lot, nestled on a corner on Chapman Ave and Parker St. (with a tiny parking lot). It's right down the street from the Orange Circle and a few blocks away from Chapman University. I have had most of their menu items by now since I have frequented this place quite a bit due to convenience of proximity. The food is good. Sometimes they put waay too much sage in their pesto and/or country gravy. I once thought it was windex and upon inquiring with a cashier, she informed me it may be one of the ingredients, sage or something else. At least it wasn't due to someone cleaning an appliance near my plate in the kitchen. Lol. The only reason I bring this up is because I am personally a big fan of their Blue Plate Special. It is the first meal I ever had there on my very first visit and really enjoyed it. The gravy also produced a sense of nostalgia for me too. But something has changed and its not the same anymore. Other than that...the sweet potato chili fries with the substitute of sour cream for hummus to make it vegan is also very grounding and flavorful. Hope you enjoy your visit! Also, the patio is a nice area to hang out and enjoy your meal in on a sunny day.
